| Feb 9: | It is with a heart of thanksgiving that Ruby’s Pantry of Fond du Lac celebrated a full year of serving almost 2000 families with a hand up, not a hand out. We are so grateful to the 50-75 faithful volunteers that come to give their time so unselfishly to help set up, repackage, register, distribute, carry out groceries, tear down and clean up every month. Without our volunteers, Ruby’s Pantry would not be able to impact the community like it does. Our next distribution is Thursday February 9, 2012 Registration is from 5:00-6:00pm - Distribution 6:00pm Ruby’s Pantry is a tri-state, faith-based, food relief program based in Pine City, MN. Donated bulk foods are distributed from 27+ sites reaching rural and larger communities. It is not government funded and relies solely on corporate donations. Ruby’s Pantry of Fond du Lac has assisted locally, the Fox Valley and beyond. Learn more at www.rubyspantry.com or call 920-923-5292. “Caring and Sharing the Love of Christ through Food”

Oshkosh North High School production of Little Women
The story tells the tale of four sisters: fiery tomboy and aspiring writer Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth. The story takes place during the Civil War and is intercut with melodramatic stories Jo writes in her attic studio. With modern music and a classic story, this is a great family show with humor and heart

Project Linus Fond du Lac Cty WI Make a Blanket Day Quilts for children in need will be assembled at the Fond du Lac Senior Center, 151 E 1st St, Fond du Lac, WI and we would like to invite the community to attend. [newline][newline]Anyone who can learn to tie a knot is invited to join in the fun anytime between 10AM and 3:00 PM. You don’t have to be an artist to create a master piece for these children! You just need to be ready to have some fun while helping others! The average no sew blanket uses a yard and a half of patterned fleece along with another yard and a half of coordinating colors or prints. Feel free to bring your own materials or donations to cover expenses. [newline][newline]In addition to the no sew blankets Project Linus also accepts quilts, knitted and crocheted blankets. If you prefer to work on these please bring your sewing machines or needles. This year they have more children than ever in need. Do you think your group can spare a few minutes to help these children? [newline][newline]The Fond du Lac County Chapter of Project Linus began just a little over 6 years ago. The local chapter of volunteers has now delivered nearly 5700 handmade blankets to children worldwide. The majority of those were given to children in Fond du Lac and Dodge County.
For more information on the Make A Blanket Day Event, questions or donations for Project Linus can be directed to Penny Kollmansberger at 920-923-4273 or visit their website at http://www.orgsites.com/wi/projlinusfdlcounty
